1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this, December 31, 2007
This review is from: Butterfly Pull-Apart Cupcake Pan - Pink (Kitchen)
Sounds like a fun thing, but it's not! This was one of the worst products I have ever used. Even after cooking spray was applied, the sections did not remove easily from the pan, and broke messily apart. The instructions for use are vague: "Cooking time may vary slightly from traditional metal bakewere, therefore, adjustments in time and temperature may be necessary." There is no indication of HOW to adjust the time or temperature. After reading various blogs and websites, I gather that the sole advantage of silicone pans is supposed to be the easy clean-up. This mold was very difficult to clean, as much of the bottom and sides of the cake had stuck to it. It would be better to bake a sheet cake, and cut it into the shape of a butterfly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Cute Cake!, July 23, 2011
By
This review is from: Butterfly Pull-Apart Cupcake Pan - Pink (Kitchen)
We used this pan for my daughter's birthday cake and it worked wonderfully! As with any silicone pan, you do have to coat well with cooking spray, but we had no issues getting the cake out (used a small rubber spatula around the edges to help it 'unstick') and all the pieces popped right out. We ended up making 2 - one was a practice cake, but it was so easy to do we really wouldn't have needed to do a practice one. DD loved it so much the last time we did it (2 years ago) that she wants it again this year.

2.0 out of 5 stars A very difficult cake pan, April 26, 2008
This review is from: Butterfly Pull-Apart Cupcake Pan - Pink (Kitchen)
This made a very cute cake, but it was very hard to use. The instructions included with the cake were very vague and unhelpful. They don't specify exactly how much cake batter to put in each section. I found out the hard way that you won't use all of the batter for one cake in this pan. Make sure that you coat it thoroughly with cooking spray, give the cake some time to cool, and run a knife along the sides before you take it out of the pan.
