I have several Butterfly rackets (Senshu, Carlos Chiu, Kodo, Kioshi, Naifu) so I have used a decent variety of paddle to comnpare the 401 Yuki to. I was actually looding to buy the Kenji to add to my collection, but I came across this paddle and decided to chyeck it out as it was $12 cheaper than the Kenji. Of the paddles I own, the Senshu is my favorite and it was not cheap at arounf $70. When I found this racket I was skeptical of it because of the cheap price ($35), but I decided to take a chance and order it and worst case I can use it a practice racket so I don't ding up my Senshu too bad.

The racket came in a day earlier than expected and I was pleasantly surprised. The racket uses Butterfly Yuki rubber onboth sides. My Senshu racket uses Flextra rubber and the Yuki rubber on this racket feels as sticky, though not quite a powerful as the flextra. The tape on the side of the racket is a very nicenylon ribbon material and it gives the racket a classy look. In play, the racket is ver well balanced with great spin and control, making this an ideal racket for the intermediate player. It also has 2.1 mm rubber which gives it a little extra "oomph" on slams.

Overall, I am very hapy with this racket, while not as fast as my Senshu, it is half the price of that racket and has 9/10's the performance.

This is an awesome paddle. The padding is good and very sticky. Great for spinning.
This paddle ratting is...
Speed 8.0
Spin 8.0
Control 8.5
It's written in Chinese I think. Great investment if your looking for a paddle that is well built.
Plus it comes with a case. Can't beat that.

This is the first paddle costing more than about $10 that I've ever bought. Many of my coworkers who I play with like Butterfly paddles, so I figured I would go for one of these. The well-made soft carrying case that comes with it is a nice bonus for me.

It's a very nice paddle. Significantly heavier than a cheap lightweight one, which I find helps me control it. The rubber is very sticky and soft, which gives me an amazing amount of spin and control. In particular, I am able to return smashes and execute loopy top-spin shots far better than I have ever been able to before. However, this paddle also deadens the ball in terms of speed. I really have to smash it hard to get much speed out of the ball. For me this is a good thing, since I have a lot of trouble with control with harder paddles, but some players might not like it.

Overall, I'm very happy with this paddle, but as I said I don't have a lot of experience to make good comparisons with other products. I think just about any beginner or intermediate player would be very happy with it.

The rubber is of good quality and is quite tacky. However when newly opened the rubber tends to be very sticky and attracts a lot of dust. The paddle cover is a nice touch and helps keep some of dust off the rubbers.
The paddle structure itself seems solid and has a crisp feel to it. The handle is comfortable but extremely stinky. After playing for a couple of days, the sweat transferred to the handle literally reeks. But this is a minor inconvenience and it fades after a week or so of playing.

Overall, It is a good intermediate paddle with a decent balance of spin and speed.
However, it doesn't do either extremely well. You will find yourself working hard to get major spin or major speed. I would recommend it as a very good practice paddle but if you are planning to use this for competitions.. you might find it lacking.

Great racket, good value for the money. My spins are definitely much, much better over the standard paddles I was using before. It took a while to get used to the paddle, but that's probably more me going from beginner to intermediate player than the racket itself. I'm happy with my purchase, was a good value for what I was looking for. (more spin and control w/o breaking the bank). Now it's time to go play!

I've used it several times and it performs above expectations. Case is handy, and rarely is one included at this price.

This is one Chinese import I do recommend buying. Just make sure you also get some liquid surface cleaner, as you would with any other paddle that has "stickiness."

Slightly disappointed with performance of this paddle; noticably heavier than several other paddles I have, but rubber is very tacky as advertised. Nice carying case included, which is nice. Handle felt shorter than I would like, but is same length as other "shake hand" styles; must be contour of the handle. It took some getting used to, but it's actually not a bad paddle. I can feel more strain on my wrist from the weight of the paddle while playing a lot of spin. This is my 5th paddle and no where near finding my ideal one yet. I'm more of a speed player than spins and this slows me down just a smidgen. I prefer very light paddles that can generate more speed than spin.

I would describe myself as an intermediate player. I can loop pretty fast from both backhand and forehand wings. This racquet gives a decent amount of spin for it's price. The Yuki Rubber is very tacky but be sure to clean it after you finish playing with it to remove the dust that accumulates on the rubber so it maintains a high quality. For all the people stepping up from a cheap paddle (10$-15$) there is good improvement on this racquet. I found that my loops had a lot more topspin and all my shots began landing in more consistently. The backhand block is a joy to hit with this racquet, it gets good zip. However, the rubber isn't as fast or spinny as I would like it to be which is why I deducted a star. But all-around this is a good racquet. I'll update this review to compare it with the Jet 500 from Killerspin and the DHS A6002.
