worst noise ever,

the sound that comes from this alarm clock is absolutely horrible. i can't believe a company would manufacture a clock that makes this sound. it sounds nothing like a "smooch", more like some incredibly irritating scratching. if i were ever to be awakened by this noise, i would start my day by smashing this clock and then most likely proceed to have a very grumpy, cranky day.

Now that I read the description of this item again, the sound does sound like a smooch. But, it is very loud and hard on the ears and not something we want to hear in the morning coming from our daughter's room. I am going to return it. Maybe someone else will like it.
