This review is for "all" of his standup CDs, since I basically bought all of them at once and combined them into a single playlist on my HTPC.

Newhart was always funny, but I never knew just how much 'til I heard his standup (what he did before he went onto TV for his two series). My personal favorite is still the "Grace L. Ferguson Airline and Storm Door Company" but every one of the standup concert CDs, including this one, has stuff that makes me laugh out loud.

I'm not all that old, mind you... I wasn't even alive when these were being made. But I prefer this to most of the "humor" I come across today... "shock" isn't nearly as funny as this stuff! :)

Funny, funny, funny. Bob Newhart is one of the greatest observational comedians out there. It is still relevant and funny today. If you want to hear real comedy listen to Bob Newhart. Oh you might also want to grab Jonathan Winters or Bill Cosby as well. Can't miss.

I bought this as a gift for my mother, excited that a new release was coming out just days before her birthday. She has always been a big fan of Bob Newhart and greatly enjoyed the original "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart" I had previously given her. "The Windmills are Weakening," however, was weak. The entire program is VERY SHORT (only 7 comedy bits, totaling less than 30 minutes) and includes no new material. My mother was disappointed; after listening to it myself later, I was too. We expected better from this hugely talented man. My recommendation: Don't waste your money on this CD; buy the original "The Buttoned-Down Mind of Bob Newhart" instead.
