Wonderful Perspective, November 6, 2009

First, this CD set is available. At least I purchased it from The Gothic Catalog in early November 2009 for about $20. I had to wait about a month for it to be back in stock, but it is well worth the wait.
This set goes with Volume One, The Mean-Tone Organ, and Volume Three, The Schnitger Organ. The Gothic Catalog is offering all three for a price in the mid-$50s.
This is remarkably good music. The Mean-Tone Organ CD selections seemed to me to be bigger and flashier, while the music on this set is more reflective. The sound is excellent and Mr. Davidsson's performance enhancing.
