This book supplements its companion title (ISBN 0962423602), adds several advanced home buyer income qualification SOLVE equations and significantly ticks-up the level of a number of income qualification routines covered in the companion book. (This is achieved by making extensive use of "conditional statements" and the "Let" and "Get" functions programmed into the HP 17B and HP 19B series devices.) All calculations are performed through SOLVE equations so you don't need to concern yourself with the mathematics of what is going on (though it is still a good idea to understand the underlying principles that produce the results which we arrive at!). For example, I cover combined routines which estimate a buyer's payment for PITI, ANNUAL INCOME NEEDED TO QUALIFY and AVERAGE MONTHLY AFTER-TAX PAYMENT COST OF THE PITI. Detailed coverage is also given to several comprehensive home buyer income qualification SOLVE routines which can be used to calculate the MAXIMUM AFFORDABLE PRICE and the ANNUAL INCOME NEEDED TO QUALIFY. Down payments are treated as either a percentage of the unknown purchase price or as a fixed amount.
