Anna Miller touches on easy to follow guides on how to distinguish between various periods of jewelry, with important information and photos on all types of jewelry and gemstones. As a gemologist, this book is an asset and should be a priority to all jewlery professionals, and potential jewelry antique shoppers.

It describes the different historical periods, lists the best markets for antique jewelry-hunting, gives information on how to spot fakes and bad quality, and also wirtes about historical jewels and jewelry care. The book is well presented, interesting, informative, and inspires the reader to start or further develop an antique jewelry collection.
