$10.00 for less than 100 pages of LARGE PRINT type containing information that is obtained by a five minute visit to an Apple store. I was left wondering........Did I instead receive the "Cliff's Notes" version of a real book.

Jonathan Zschau's Buying and Owning a Mac is a quick, easy read that armed me with the information I needed when confronting post-warranty service for my iMac. Like so many others, I was victim to a recurring, known defect. When I first contacted Apple, they quoted me ridiculously-expensive repair costs. Dissatisfied, I started doing some research and picked this book up. And I'm glad I did, as it helped me get my iMac back to life, free of charge.
Furthermore, it's serving as my guide for how best to upgrade to a brand new machine.
The book is well-organized, easy to read, and explains technical details in a way that even most technophobic reader could understand. Highly recommended.
