5.0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee
This is great coffee. Wonderfully fresh. The sampler is a great opportunity to see what these guys can do. The Peru Alta Gold is my favorite. Whether you like dark roasts or light, you'll find these are great coffees.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not thrilled
I don't drink the top of the line coffee, but I drink enough variety to know if one's decent.
I grind my coffee everytime I make my coffee, and when I try a new coffee, I drink the first brew black, then add my half/half w/o sugar.
My favorite is the dark roast of the three. Medium-Dark barely makes it, and the medium is pathetic.
I ended up mixing the...

These are nice sized - three 12 oz bags each rendering quality beans giving good flavor. I generally use 7 coffee scoops for 9 cups of coffee, and have never been disappointed. It's not easy to find fair trade organic coffee at the grocery store, and this is a good and expedient purchase.

I enjoy coffee a lot more when it's fair trade, but it helps when the coffee itself is as deep and rich as this coffee is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect gift for someone who likes to travel and loves coffee!, December 15, 2008
This review is from: Buywell 100% Fair Trade, Organic Single Origin Sampler: Peru, Guatemala, Sumatra Canopy, 12-ounce Bags (Pack of 3) Whole Bean (Misc.)
What I like best about this sampler pack is that you get a little bit of everything: a deep, rich dark Peruvian roast, and an earthy Sumatran coffee, and a medium roast Guatemalan coffee that is super chocolately and richly satisfying. As the label says--"volcanic, organic brownie batter." I highly recommend this assortment of 100% fair trade organic coffees!

You can't beat the taste of the coffee for the price. I was not disappointed at all from my purchase of this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this coffee!, March 6, 2011
This review is from: Buywell 100% Fair Trade, Organic Single Origin Sampler: Peru, Guatemala, Sumatra Canopy, 12-ounce Bags (Pack of 3) Whole Bean (Misc.)
Having recently made the decision to buy only fair-trade coffee and chocolate, and currently living in Texas, my husband and I have found our choices suddenly very limited. We are so thankful for BuyWell! It's not only fair-trade (and organic into the bargain), but it tastes wonderful as well. Our preferences are towards the darker roasts, and we've tried a few different types so far - we've liked them all, but our favourite is Cafe Hope. It would be wonderful to add this to my Subscribe & Save account here on Amazon, but as I can buy 12 oz bags at my local grocery store (HEB) for $6.99, I'm going to stick with buying it there for now.

VERY highly recommended! I love drinking great coffee and knowing I'm not supporting the exploitation of the growers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this coffee, but pricey on line, May 10, 2010
This review is from: Buywell 100% Fair Trade, Organic Single Origin Sampler: Peru, Guatemala, Sumatra Canopy, 12-ounce Bags (Pack of 3) Whole Bean (Misc.)
I just started using this coffee and I really like the flavors. My favorite so far is the Sumatra. It has a wonderful flavor! I hoped to purchase the coffee beans on line and/or in bulk (5Lb pkg.) but I haven't been able to find it at a reasonable price. The 12-oz pkg are quite pricey at the mfg. site and here on Amazon. I am now purchasing it, ground, at my local Kroger store in the organic food section for $8.99. That is a real deal compared to Amazon.

I ended up mixing the medium with medium-dark so I can finish the medium, that's how tasteless that is.

I was very excited to see another fair trade/organic coffee out there. Received my 3 coffee's and have tried both the Peruvian and Sumatra. Both have been horrible. The beans are dry and the flavor is weak/stale tasting no matter how strong I attempt to make it. I would NOT recommend this coffee to those who like smooth and fresh coffee.

The Organic benefit alone attracted me to this purchase and then I found it was a Free Trade product that supported women farmers. It seemed that I had struck gold, unfortunately when I brewed each type I was quite disappointed. They seemed to have a generic corner restaurant taste to them.

We try new coffees all the time and brew them by different means to be certain that the optimum proportion and method is
utilized. What seemed to extract the most flavor in my estimation was the French Press. It eliminated all external influences and allowed the coffee to be sampled in it's most basic state. Check out Coffee Review to enlarge your understanding of the origins and methods of brewing a great cup of coffee.

This review states only my personal experience with these choices and your experience could be entirely different from mine. Presently, I would say my bench mark at this time are for example Lavazza Top Class Espresso Whole Bean Coffee, 2.2-Pound Bag or any one of the other choices offerred .
