Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space is a computer simulation adventure game from Interplay Productions. It recreates US and Soviet space missions using digitized footage from lift-offs, space walks, lunar landings and splashdowns. This is a very complicated game, requiring the player, who acts as a Space Director and manages a space programme, to manipulate and manage numerous variables. Written by the game's creator, this work, the only official Interplay edition, provides players with all the information they need to win the game. The first half focuses on the history of worldwide space exploration from 3000 BC to the present, and contains a thorough chronology of the real Space Age and descriptions of spacecraft and rockets. The second half shows readers how to win the game. The author reveals all the hidden tricks and traps, and shows how to successfully navigate through the game.
