For those who are looking for an entertaining experience on a par with the last two Toy Story movies, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command might not be the best pickup. Not only is this title simplistic, but also it lacks the control and graphics that are necessary to forgive such gameplay shortcomings. It's a sluggish and redundant use of a popular license.

The object of the game is for players to run through levels, as they try to catch up with bosses, whom they must fight to advance. Power-ups, such as rockets and hoverboards, are plentiful, but defeating enemies takes far too many shots, and trying to control Buzz feels a lot like trying to steer a bus. In other words, Buzz feels a lot heavier than he ought to, even in that oversize space suit.

The graphics in this game are clean, but they repeat often, and the overhead view almost made us forget whom we were struggling to control. This one is only for those who couldn't get enough of the PlayStation version, and need a copy for the road. --Robb Guido

Based on the hit Disney animated TV show of the same name, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND has players controlling top-notch Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear as he attempts to thwart the insidious plots of the evil Emperor Zurg. The action takes place in 12 stages of overhead blasting action. At the end of each stage, a powerful boss awaits Buzz, and to make it to the boss in one piece, you'll have to collect the power-ups and items that appear throughout the stages. Buzz must also race the clock to reach the end of each stage. The graphics are brightly colored and capture the spirit of the animated show. Zurg's forces are big and dangerous, so keep your finger on the trigger at all times. Use a password to save your progress through this one-player only game. BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND is for Game Boy Color only.

This game is pretty good exept level 9 it is un beatable but the rest of the game is pretty easy. In the game you race the boss through their level and if you beat the boss (example Warp Darkmatter lv. 8)you have to fight'em, if you beat'em then you advance to the next level. The graphics are an 8.5.the game is pretty good.

P.S. a code for lv. 9 is "LBVBB"

This game is very easy and some levels are hard. You can not save your game you use passwords. Graphics are good in this game. You can fly on different things. This game is based on his new cartoon(BUZZ LIGHTYEAR of STAR COMMAND).You can regane lifes and get shields.There are 12 levels in all.You can change weapons.There are 5 weapons.

if you whant 3d action you should go some were else. if your going on a trip and you need something to do in the car or on the plane... go some were else. this is a game that i beat in an hour. the only level that is any trouble is the very last one with zerg. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! RENT IT! this is a game you play when you get bored. in order to use a wepon you have to have money but you can only have a total of five coins and if you whant to get on a jump jst or a hover bored you need to use all of it. you can only get on you jet or board for more than 2 minutes any way. the best wepon is iether the bazzooka or the machine gun. and when you fight the boss of the level it tells you what his *CURRENT* weakness is. and again RENT THIS GAME. DO NOT BUY IT!!!

good:
this is a game based off of the movie star command.

you get to fight buzz's old partner.

Bad:
you need money to get a different wepon other than the weak blaster.

there is no multi player games

you can't even turn around
