Julia Stone is best known as 1/2 of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Australian brother/sister duo Angus & Julia Stone, who won top honors at the 2010 ARIA Awards in Australia with Album of the Year (Down The Way) and Single of the Year (Big Jet Plane).
The sessions were co-produced by Patrick Dillett, equally known for his work recording powerful female vocalists like Mary J Blige and Mariah Carey, and as a producer for David Byrne and Arto Lindsay and mixed Julia's first solo album The Memory Machine.

Sort of Emiliani Torrini meets Isobel Campbell meets Grandaddy....for lack of a better comparison. The only album I have purchased recently that I like better is Julia's "Memory Machine"...which is devastating greatness.
