An Interesting Redo Of BCR Tunes,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bye Bye Baby (Audio CD)
This CD is a remake of a number of BCR tunes done by three of the original band members - Eric Faulkner, Stuart Wood and Alan Longmuir. Most of the tunes feature Eric Faulkner on lead vocals. Alan Longmuir offers his version of Keep on Dancin' which seems appropriate as he was there in 71' when the Rollers hit the charts for the first time with this tune (Faulkner and Wood joined the band later leading to their worldwide conquest in 74'). Stuart Wood, while being a very talented musician provides a good effort albeit vocally weak versions of "Give a Litte Love" and "You Made Me Believe in Magic". A nice offering is "Love Me Like I Love You" which wasn't included on their previous studio offerings despite it being a hit. While clearly not their best effort, it should find a place for those looking to keep their BCR collections complete.

different from the original group,

When I bought this CD I wasn't expecting it to sound like the original because Les wasn't lead vocals, but if your a true roller fan you would want this for your collection.

Do Not Buy!!,
By Michael Garrison (Canton, MI USA) - See all my reviews

Like the other reviewrer, I was very disappointed with the CD, and I also got suckered into buy this thinking it was the original songs. This CD is a remake and the songs are awlful.

Horrible - Not the original member of the group.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bye Bye Baby (Audio CD)
I was very disappointed with this CD. I didn't realize that this was a remake of original songs using only some of the band memebers. The songs are the same but they sound totally different. Not what I was prepared for and not what I wanted.

One of the best,

For those who have listened to their GREATEST HITS album over and over again and realize that the they are BCR addicts and want MORE! This is the CD to get. It has Allen Longmuir as the lead singer with the deeper voice and mellow attitude. Less bubble more stubble!

Doesn't do justice to BCR,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bye Bye Baby (Audio CD)
The production on this CD is really awful. I don't believe that it does the performers justice, and it certainly does not offer a worthwhile remake of the originals.

Great 70's Pop Music that reminds you of that decade.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bye Bye Baby (Audio CD)
If you grew up in the 70's listening to Pop Music then this album will bring a smile to your face. This Scottish band rose to great heights in the USA shortly after the relase of this album. Check out the night club classic Saturday Night.

Rolling without the teeny-bopper sound,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bye Bye Baby (Audio CD)
If you want the same sound as the typical BCR albums, this isn't for you. However, if you want to hear the behind-the-scenes Rollers without the sugary-sweet vocals, check this one out. Faulkner (the band's main songwriter) takes the lead in his alternative, harder sound of the Bay City Rollers without Les and with the added bonus of female harmony by Kass. Worth a listen!
