Mariah has a knack for writing really beautiful heartfelt and easy to relate to songs like this one. The message is simple, her voice is amazing as always, and the lyrics are genuine. The video is really cool too. Mariah looks really classy and casual in a jean skirt and white t-shirt, serious almost sad expression, while a montage slideshows in the background of people she's loved and lost. Her father among them. Just a great tribute song. I would say its perfect except for the 'shout outs' that some guy is doing randomly in the background. That's kind of annoying and distracts from Mariah's voice.

This song is very addictive and with the lyrics, it makes me think about my father that recently passed. Very emotional song.

When it has come down to Mariah Carey, she still has shown her strengths in being a strong singer. Unfortunately, with her songs though on her album E=MC2, she hasn't been able to really recapture the warmth from The Emancipation Of Mimi. That also has shown with her single Bye Bye, the second single from the album. The song feels a bit weak in her signature voice, and doesn't bring in the voice she has been known for shining, as was the case with We Belong Together and Hero. I feel that Mariah really needs to find the songs that make her voice really work. After Touch My Body, and I'll Be Loving You Long Time, Mariah Carey has to find her way with her next song. All that she needs to do, is to find a better formula for E=MC2.

This song is perfect for those who have lost a loved one, friend, etc. The words are perfection. I just love this song. Makes you want to cry.

I love Bye Bye. This song hit me in the heart and I can't stop listening to it. Mariah's voice soars with emotion that is genuine and affecting. I connected with this song like I have no other for a long time. Great.

This track is NOTHING more than an attempt at hitmaking: An obvious attempt to re-do "One Sweet Day". I detest cheap sentiment and this song is riddled with it. The composition, although not terrible, is outweighed by the blatant attempt by the artist to enter #1 on BB Hot 100. This song is NOT worthy. Carey's vocal is perfect, as always, but this song, well, sucks.
