I'm buying this right now based on the free version Byki offers on their website. I've been struggling to pic up Sebian for five years. Other programs and books I tried just didn't cut it. After using the Byki online program for two weeks I was able to count into the thousands, knew the names of 20 animals, new colors, days of the week, and more. I don't know how this will translate into actually learning the language but as a vocabulary builder it's the best I've found.
The only draw back is that it uses the Cirylic form of the language in the lessons so you may still want to get some sort of dictionary to help you along with that. I'm motivated to learn since my wife (from Belgrade) and I are having a baby and her family will be coming to stay with us later this year. With a few hours a week and some motivation I believe this is really helping me build a foundation to finally communicate with them in Serbian. |
