3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed Stories - Sloppy Production
We happened to eat dinner in Myrtle Beach one evening at the same time Mickey Spillane was celebrating a birthday in the same restaurant. He seemed like a really likable fellow. I had never read any of his works and thought I'd like to give him a read. "Byline" was the most current available, so I decided to try it. It was not what I expected (I should have read the...

This review is from: Byline: Mickey Spillane (Paperback)
We happened to eat dinner in Myrtle Beach one evening at the same time Mickey Spillane was celebrating a birthday in the same restaurant. He seemed like a really likable fellow. I had never read any of his works and thought I'd like to give him a read. "Byline" was the most current available, so I decided to try it. It was not what I expected (I should have read the reviews to find out!), but none the less I still enjoyed it. I was able to sample his writing, learn more about his life, and read some Mike Hammer as well. So I enjoyed the read. But I must say the production quality on the soft-cover was awful. Throughout there were many cases of words that had passed a spell check, but were obviously the wrong word. And one of the comic books included even had the sequence of pages messed up. Just very sloppy editing.Byline: Mickey Spillane
