Bylines Writer's Desk Calendar is a terrific daytimer. The personal reflections from the great variety of writers are insightful, funny and passionate. I liked the format (the spiral binding) and size, the layout is easy to use, and each week I get acquainted with a new person. But Bylines is not just for writers. I'm an incurable READER, and loved the opportunity to get inside the heads of the people who entertain me. I'm giving it as gifts to all of the members of my Book Club.

BYLINES: 2005 WRITER'S DESK CALENDAR has me in a quandary trying to figure out
what to do with my palm pilot for the next year. Chock full of wisdom that can only come from folks who find themselves eavesdropping on conversations and creating characters as a result, BYLINES endears it as a necessary resource for all writers. Constructed with useful spiral binding, BYLINES is a week-at-a-glance type calendar that provides a weekly reminder of a writer's life. Each week features a different writer and his/her story, philosophy, or thoughts on leading a scribe's life. As you flip the pages of the calendar, you begin to recognize the writer in you and develop camaraderie for the folks who fill the pages of this date book. An added bonus is that the calendar features a daily listing of widely known writer's birthdays. BYLINES provides inspiration for writers in all stages-- from aspiring to multi-published. As I read each account, I experienced a renewed sense of purpose in my writing as well as a sense of fellowship from a number of kindred spirits. This calendar is a must-have for anyone who has ever written something and worried about his/her talent. It encourages, validates, and provides space for you to keep track of important appointments.
