3.0 out of 5 stars A little stale but still edible, September 22, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Byte's DOS Programmer's Cookbook (BYTE's Programmer's Cookbook) (Hardcover)
Byte's Dos Programmer's Cookbook is a relatively decent book about dos programming, but of course as the should be clear from the title it is a bit dated. There is a wide range of utilites, applications and such covered within this book that will would be of great use to anyone using a pc but not windows. Most of the programs included on the cd rom can be found on the web but i'd suspect the remaing audience for this book can't get on the web at a very decent speed. I'd recomend this book to anyone running an older PC system with a CD-rom who is interested in doing more with their machine. Not bad book at all but the subject matter is a bit dated.

This was possibly the worst book I ever read. Itwas confusing and unrealistic... or should I say it was just a really bad book!! Don't buy it! You're crazy if you do. I was stunned at how idiotic this book was!
