5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful music, superbly performed, April 22, 2004

This review is from: C.P.E Bach, J.C. Bach: Magnificat (Audio CD)
These 2 Magnificats are very different from J S Bach, and sound more like Haydn to these ears. You will find the music uplifting and the performances musical and thoroughly enjoyable.

The settings of the Magnificat are a good way in to choral music, because each movement is usually short and tuneful.

I also highly recommend the Herreweghe performance of J S Bach's Magnificat.
