This review is from: C Programming Guidelines (Paperback)
211 pages. This list of guidelines is strong in the areas of strict portability and changes to the language from the ANSI C standard. Each guideline is presented with justifications. Small amounts of blank space are provided for the reader to write "local notes". In addition to portability guidelines, the book covers readability, consistency, style, and design. The design guidelines were spread throughout the book instead of in a single chapter. The author makes heavy references to his other book, "Reliable Data Structures in C" which often leaves the reader hanging in mid-stream.
