3.0 out of 5 stars Great for Beginners, August 7, 2005
This review is from: C++ Programming (Paperback)
This book is great for beginners. If you don't know anything about programming, this is a great place to start. It explains the basics well, but typos can be distracting at times and you will need another book for more in-depth topics.

4.0 out of 5 stars This book is for people with some programming experience., July 5, 1998

Christopher Neill (Pohnpei Micronesia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: C++ Programming (Paperback)
This book was purchased to learn C++ before diving into Visual C++. It did a good job, but at one point a trivial example containg an array within a loop would have thrown most "first-timers" off since loops were introduced later into the book. Otherwise a very user friendly book with a nice C++ compiler with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book concisely teaches the basics of C++ Programming, February 8, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: C++ Programming (Paperback)
I really liked this book, and it taught me the basics and essentials to programming C++. The only flaw I found with it, was that it did not go into enough detail about the subjects and I had to get another book to answer some of my questions. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn C++, or who just needs a reference to keep by thier side.
