Fifty Dollars ?! someone should be made to suffer, May 24, 2005
This review is from: C True Hollywood Stories (Audio CD)
I saw where some soulless sack of trash is selling this for $50 used on here...I hope you get violently ill. Greed of that amount is sickening, capitalizing on loyal fans with a deeper appreciation of music than most will get you a scholarship to hell.
that being said, for all you newer Canibus fans, or anyone who hasnt heard this album, please dont even give a second thought to these absurd prices. just pretend this release never happened. this nearly ended his career. "Box Cutta Blade Runner" and, argubaly "Draft Me" are the only 2 songs on here you will ever want to hear again. pick up any of his other albums, as he does not have a bad one aside from this, and they are all worth your Money. he even has some EP's at his micclub website like "Brainstream" and "My Name is Nobody" that you would be much better off with. this may be the worst album ever put out by an artist of this skill level. I remember picking this up on its first day back in late 01. one of the biggest disapiontments ever, especially after the incredible 2000 BC.
If your foolish enough to still waste an absurd amount of money on this, to "complete your canibus collection" thats suspect. you wont be playing this album again after hearing it. Anyone who buys this will regret it later

not as bad as most hip-hop fans would lead you to believe., June 11, 2003

as far as canibus' albums go this is his weakest effort, but that doesnt mean its an all out "WACK" cd as others would like to put it. you can chill out with and just listen to music having fun with it on this album. the parody tracks on this album are hilarious, funny skits and just overall a very funny feel to the album. overall i will give it a 3.5 STAND OUT Tracks A Different Vibe In L.A. GOTTA GET THAT DOE!!!! Boxcutter Blade Runner Hott Tonight Lemme Hear Something Else U Didn't Care (The Remix is better tho)

Canibus brings the sickest drama, But now just garbage!, April 24, 2002
This review is from: C True Hollywood Stories (Audio CD)
I once believed that Canibus was an untoucable Mc, one with both great flow and rhyming ability, but after just listening to HALF of his new album, I now believe diferently. He should stick with what he does best, battle rapping. He is trying to hard to make his lyrics commical with stupid phrases in hopes to somehow mimic the style of Eminem. Its not working! This album was a GREAT disapointment being that his first two had some of the best lyrical quotes I have ever heard. Even on "Beasts from the East", one of Lost Boyz best song on there second album "Love,Peace and Nappiness", Canibus tears up the spot for over half the song, its just amazing. Although I still consider myself a Canibus fan, I dont consider myself a fan of this album. Dont waist your money, but if you do decide to spend money on canibus, buy some herb, maybe it will help make you forget how terrible this album is.
