Excellent book for CA-Clipper beginners, March 6, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: CA-Clipper 5.2: Step-by-Step (Paperback)
This is one Clipper book that every beginner should have. It assumes you don't know how to program in Clipper and takes you through all the basic components: scope/lifetime rules, UDFs, user defined commands, memo fields, TBrowse, file functions and more. I particularly liked all the examples found in the book. You can even buy a companion disk from the author's company to assist in understanding.
I have successfully used this book for a class I taught to Clipper programming beginners

A must have for Clipper, May 10, 2009
This review is from: CA-Clipper 5.2: Step-by-Step (Paperback)
Clipper is very clearly explained and documented in this book. The practical approach is very well geared to results and into understanding the inner works of the language.
Book organization leads trough a secure path for firm learning, allowing for slow enough absortion off knowledge.
If you want to learn/understand Clipper You are in good company.
