Instantly recognizable, peppermint oil has a very potent minty aroma that produces a cooling and refreshing sensation. Combine peppermint, lavender and a skin care oil for a soothing stomach-massage oil. Color: Pale yellow to pale olive-green Viscosity: Mobile Top Note: Very fresh, grassy and buttery Middle Note: Strong, grassy-minty, with a deep balsamic-sweet undertone Dry Note: Sweet, clean Aromatherapy Actions: Cooling, vitalizing, refreshing Safety Data: Non-toxic. A mild skin irritant and allergen. Avoid during pregnancy. Place some drops of Peppermint Essential Oil on your tongue as a breath freshener or rub it on your teeth to reduce any plaque buildup or put a couple of drops in a cup of hot water to enjoy instead of coffee. For a natural, chemical-free carpet freshener, just mix 1/2 cup of baking soda and 5 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil in a shaker jar to sprinkle on your carpet before vacuum for that refreshing, relaxing scent. Peppermint Essential Oil is usually non-toxic and non-irritant in low dilutions, but there may be a sensitization problem due to Peppermint's high menthol content.
