I've been using Shure brand vocal mics for the past 20 years. Recently, I tried a CAD D189 mic and found it to be right on the same level as the Shure Beta series. It has much more hi-midrange where you need the cut. Enough low-end to get the job done. Doesn't feedback. I am very happy with this mic. It is much more affordable and is very well made. Please try them out, you will not be disappointed.
