Product Description

The CAD M9 is a c ardioid, single-tube, externally-biased condenser microphone featuring servo-valve technology. It naturally bridges the technologies developed for the VX2 and the M-Series microphones. The head amp in the M9 is a 12AX7 tube in a circuit that is optimized for super-wide dynamic range and low noise. The output stage is a high-speed dual opamp in a balanced differential configuration that allows long cables to be used without affecting mic performance. With 30' professional quality, seven-conductor cable with gold-plated XLR male and female connectors; MV200 analog power supply; line cord; rugged carrying case; suspension shock mount. Requires phantom power.

Amazing mic, I use it on all my vocals, shakers, drums as an overhead, and was a wonder on my trumpet. This mic changed how I made music it was that good. Read many reviews comparing it to rodes ntk's as well as some Neumans... If they are comparable then why not skip the loan and get this mic instead. Nobody, including you, will hear the difference... Unless you can feel a waxed car drives faster, of course...

I bought this mic as my first all purpose valve microphone, and I'm really gad I got it!! I've done some voice recording and it's sounds great! I've compared it to my Neumamn TLM103 and between 10KHz and 16KHz, the M9 was amazing, with very nice warm and brigth sound! Very good on low frequencies too, but on that part, I think my TLM was a little better!
It's a very nice mic for this range of price!
