I am very proud of these microphones. I was sceptical at them being such a low price but i really needed them for my studio and the results were totally amazing. My only complaint which really isnt even then a complaint was why there was a need for 2 snare mics. But luckly the snare mics were also good for high toms as well which is what i used the other one for. I highly reccomend these for anyone else looking for a drum mic set as well.

Based on reccomendations from both here and on Musicians friend for CAD mics, I bought this set for my son to record his drum kit (bass/3 toms/snare/bunch of cymbals). For the price you can't beat these mics for home recording. Sounds great into a mixer then into computer (pro tools software). Decent (secure) mounts, nice case included, quality housings. Most importantly, the sound is high quality. A decent bass sound, very good tom sounds and the condensers are good too. Very pleased, would purchase again..... NOTE: If you don't already have, you will need to purchase 7 XLR mic cables (not included $$$!!!).

Best drum mics for the $,
This review is from: CAD Pro-7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Pack (Electronics)
These mics for the money are awsome....The overheads pick up your cymbals excellent....if they are to hot flip the two switches on them to cut down on the sensativity.
The tom, snare and bass drum mics sound sweet in a live setting. I have not recorded with this mic pac,,,but read reviews saying they sound great. the mounts for these mics work great with flanged drum hoops...my snare has a cast hoop and the clamp still works with it,but you can tell these clamps are intended for flanged type hoops. the only negative I have about this mic pac is that you cant buy any of these mics in this kit one at a time,,,,I have 2 more toms to mic and to do that I have to get the 4 peice mic pac to get 2 more tom mics. the mics are so good for the price that I'll end up doing that though.

I scoured the internet and found this set at Electronics Expo to be the cheapest, as far as price and shipping. Incredible value for a decent drum mic set. Mics feel solid, sound great. Built-in drum rim mounts on snare and tom mics is a bonus. Condenser mics and kick mics work well, sound good. Case is made of a thick gig bag cloth, which keep the mics well protected and make it easy to transport the mics. All in all extremely happy with this set and my purchase.

CD Pro-7 7 Piece Drum Mic Touring Pack is a good buy. I have a set of Roland electronic drums - they are good but not the same as acoustic drums. This microphones do an excellent job capturing the sound and the price is unbelievable but true. The hardest part is setting the sound level and mix. You really need a trained ear to help you or an a VERY good set of head phones.

You might hear that they are cheap! So what! I bought them because they were cheap and I needed drum mics. I can't live without them. They are so great! I even use the condensers for miking guitar. Great mics no matter what anyone says.

I have been recording with this mic kit, and I have only good things to say about it. The price was right, the sound is outstanding, and they mount perfectly onto the rims. I would recommend this set of mics to any drummer in the need of a good, low price kit.

For the price, i don't think there are better mic's out there,

these mic's are an incredible buy, the condensers are quite clear and with the 10db pad built in you don't have to worry about overloading your interface. The snare mic is a little weak and I only ever have a problem with it when im recording a very loud snare and a drumer who likes to make some rimshots, the tom mics are great, the only thing i did not like about this was the kick mic, but with a good preamp, no not the gain knob on your interface, you can easily fix that and make it sound good, also if the kick mic goes inside the drum, like in a porthole, it will sound a million times better, you honestly can't mic a kickdrum without a hole, or taking the resonator head off. Even with the kick mic, buy these they're totally worth it, and if you break one your not out the price of a nice mic that you wanted to "experiment" with.

Outstanding LOW PRICE, SOUND GOOD SET,
This review is from: CAD Pro-7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Pack (Electronics)
I have been playing drums live for 48 years and have always used either the Shure or AKG drum microphones. Just for curiosity I purchased a set of these for comparison purposes about 3 years ago.I must say I am still impressed to this day with their performance. The are not an AKG or a Shure but the slight difference between them is hardly distinguishable. Yes the Shure and the AKG's have the slightest bit fuller sound but for anything outside of laying down PERFECT studio tracks these microphones are a steel. I installed a set inside my drums, bass drum and toms and made up hardware without drilling any holes into my drums and ran the XLR out the vent hole. They sound excellent and if one dose get ripped off from some Low Life you wont be out hundreds of dollars for one microphone. Treat them right and they will perform flawlessly. Good deal good price good sound for performing drummers. What more can say other they buy it try it. If you don't like them, send them back. I will bet you keep them!
