As an audiophile, musician and electronics repair technician for over 40 years, let me make clear that at times I like to listen to my system at pretty loud levels and I found the 752BD to be sweeter sounding right out of the box when compared to the Oppo BDP-105 that I recently purchased and evaluated for two weeks. The 752 is quite a bit smaller in size than the 105 and has a few less features, but for critical audiophile level playback it was no contest for me. The three user selectable digital filters actually work, plus they're selectable from the remote which really makes it nice in tweaking the high end from the listening position. About my system, it consists of a McIntosh MX-135 preamplifier and a McIntosh MC-602 power amplifier which power a pair of Magnepan 3.6R's for the L-R mains. I use one Crown PSA-II power amp to power the L-R surrounds sides and another Crown PSA-II amp to power the L-R subs of a Bi-amped pair of Carver AL3+s. Lastly, a Marantz DC-170 power amp handles the chores of feeding two Infinity center channel speakers, one of which is located above and the other located below the video screen. As you can imagine, this setup sounds great in both pure stereo as well as 5.1 listening.

i ordered this player for a friend.
in short, this player stands with some of the best blu-ray players out there. The picture quality is outstanding. The audio quality when playing CD's is outstanding and even when playing old pressed CD's you can hear clarity like never before.
my friend says that this player does worth every penny he spent on it.

I have owned this player for over 3 months and it is one fantastic machine. I have owned many high end players such as the Pioneer 09, Marantz BD8002, Oppo 83 & 83SE, and just recently the Oppo 95. This is by far the best I have owned. Loads lighting fast, video quality is top notch, the best I have ever seen on blu ray and and even more so on upscaling DVD's.
But what makes it the best is the sound quality. It is amazing on all outputs--digital, hdmi,7.1 analog. The Cambridge upscaling feature of all audio to 24 bit 192KHz before outputing the signal to any of the outputs really works, I hear full depth with great space and perfect placement between the channels, very refined full body sound without being colored or harsh in any way on music and movies. I am a big movie buff and love to listen to music and this machine is what I have been looking for. Not only is it great for movies with an awesome picture and fantastic crystal clear sound, it is also an audiophile quality transport for music too.
As I stated before I have gone through many high end players to find the perfect all in one player for movies and music. All the previous units mentioned lacked in one area or another. The closest was the Oppo 95 which is a great machine but found it to be less refined and more in your face on sound ( a little harsh) and seemed to put a slight vail coming from the speakers, but the Cambridge, well-- "Just Perfect Clear refined Sound with great video on everything"-- Finally a true player for both home theater and straight music.
Also this player has many option that I have not even got around to, just having to much fun with watching movies and listening to music. It is on the pricey side, but worth every penny if you want the very best for movie night and the very best for just listening to music. The build quality is also top notch.
