Thumb Drives don't work

My mother bought this for me for Christmas. I'm a photojournalist in the U.S. Navy so it's fitting. Unfortunately the product doesn't work. I've tried to get my laptop to read both thumbdrives to no avail. Highly disappointed in the quality of this product. Do not buy!
