A strong and ably crafted formula entry which chronicles the cousins' first four weeks at Colorado U. The usual romantic turmoil evolves; Cara has a surplus of guys, and Chrissy loses her intended to her cousin. Triangles aside, the details of life as a newly arrived college freshman are handled with realism and humor. The cousins learn to deal with buying textbooks, the red tape of schedule changes, and demanding class loads while facing the fact that, as one character observes, "not many high-school relationships survive freshman year." Satisfying.
