These lamps are great and come with a full service warranty from the manufacturer. So purchase them from a reputable source like museumofmoderndesign on Amazon. I gave many of these great Candela lamps to my friends and they all love it! The best invention since the wheel! These fantastic portable lamps are a safe alternative to regular candles. These lamps provide a warm, ambient glow that won't blow out in the wind, or set the house afire if left unattended. Equally useful on the dinner table or bedside and late-night jaunts, each Candela lamp stays lit for 5 hours, and takes 16 hours to recharge. Intelligent circuitry makes them turn on automatically when lifted from the charging platter, and start to recharge as soon as they're put back. Plus, the pattended SafeCharge system eliminates exposed electrical contacts.

I loved my vessel lamps, for like 4 months they worked great and then they all slowly died - I didn't even use them that often, maybe once a week. Don't waste your money on this product!!!

The battery replacements run at least $25 a four pack, if these batteries go out every 3-4 months you are looking at about $100 to operate these 4 candelas per year - YIKES! A complete waste.

I have owned several sets of Candelas, from the original to the newer model with replaceable batteries. All have suffered from terrible battery life. Customer service from the company is non-existent. Candelas are waaaaaaay overpriced and, based on my experience, will fail withing a month or two of purchase. Save your money!!

We received these as a gift before our first child was born three years ago. They are great for night nursings or late-night diaper changes. We have now given them as gifts to several parents-to-be and everyone loves them. It's important to read the instructions and follow them for longest battery life. If you do, the batteries will definitely last more than a year.

Our Candelas worked great for the first month or so, but the battery life progressively became worse and worse very quickly. For the price, we expected much better performance.

if i could i would give this product zero stars. i bought these because i live in florida and thought ithey would be perfect for power outages.the batteries did not even last a year. to replace the batteries for all four is about $30. they might look cool but the quality is NOT there. do not buy this product unless you dont mind paying for replacement batteries all the time !

The candles have a nice light and wonderful functionality. It turns on when removed from the base or when the power goes out (nice safety feature). The all plastic design is ultra-modern looking, but does not affect the way the light is cast. I like the no flicker light, which is hard to come by. The power button is neatly tucked on the base, which is weighed properly to prevent tipping. I wished these came in a two candle base model. The 16 hour recharge cycle is long, so I guess two candles can be rotated each day to maximize preformance. Very please with the product.

This product is great for about 3 months. Then one by one each lamp will stop working until none of them work. SAVE YOU MONEY! This is a ripoff.

I expected them to be more of a matte finish to look more like real candles, instead they are a high gloss. I actually found closer to what I was looking for at Brookstone about 3 days after I received these.
