My wife and I had to keep trying to get our 13-year-old autistic daughter to stop playing with our microwave. This was the most realistic toy microwave oven we could find. "Cindy" loves it. She plays with it quite regularly and she no longer tries to play with the real one. It's a great toy, and I would particularly recommend it to anyone who is having a hard time trying to keep a child from playing with a real microwave oven.

I bought this for my 4-year old nephew who has visual imparments. The lights, working buttons, movable inner tray, and realistic beeping and motor sounds are what sold me on this model. It was a total hit!!!! He loves it, and I am the favorite aunt that bought the favorite gift this Christmas.

This is a great play microwave. A little smaller than it looks in the picture, but not too small for the 3-year-old who is playing with it. As a "replica," it is very realistic looking. It is made of plastic that looks metallic and has different knobs to turn on the front (although not for a real timer or anything). The best features are the realistic LED lighting and the rotating plate. [As another reviewer mentioned, the plate does come off easily; it got tossed aside after a little while.] Recommended for any child who wants a 'real' microwave to cook with. Arrived on time and well packaged.

I searched everywhere for the "perfect" kitchen for my daughter's birthday and couldn't find anything that was just right. I decided to buy the Sear's Kenmore, but wanted to build a hutch onto the stove with a realistic microwave. After looking at almost every toy microwave out there this is the one that I settled on and I'm very happy with it. It's definitely the most realistic toy microwave you can find. It is extremely realistic, larger than most other toy microwaves out there on the market (but not huge) and it has been a big hit not only with my daughter, but with any other kids that have seen it. I love it. The food it comes with is kinda cheap looking, but since I didn't buy it for the food it wasn't an issue for me. The microwave itself is awesome. There is no working keypad. Instead, there are a couple of knobs you turn to let it know what you're cooking (i.e., pizza, popcorn etc)....The microwave lights up, the dish inside rotates, and there's of course the beeping to let you know your food is ready. It took about two weeks to arrive but I assume that is because I ordered it from a UK retailer. My only complaints are that the microwave did arrive with a slight dent on the side, but it wasn't anything that anybody but my overcritical eye would notice, and the microwave plate does tend to come off pretty often. It snaps right back on, but that is a mommy job, as it is a bit too complicated for my 3 yr old to put back on her own. This is a minor complaint though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product!

nice toy microwave...our children (3 - 6 years) love playing with it...it has some (not too loud) sounds, a interior light, buttons to push and it comes with some play food...it is a little expensive though, but if you have enthusiastic little cooks at home, they will enjoy this microwave

Very realistic. My 2 year old granddaughter loved the lights and realistic sounds. She often had trouble with the start buttons, a little difficult for little hands, but that did not deter her from getting any of us to help her so she could cook.

This is small but it is just darn cute. It has lights, sounds, knobs that turn and food with it. I bought this because we will be making a small diner playhouse this spring for our granddaughter. I couldn't pass this up now. The problem is,can I keep this from her or will it be a Christmas gift? Every kid would love this.

I was SO excited when I found this realistic looking microwave that was supposed to have lights, sound and moving parts! Unfortunately when it arrived and was opened, absolutely none of these parts worked. For spending $35 on this toy, to say it's a disappointment is the understatement of the year.

I bought this for Christmas for my godchild. The description is so wrong! It is horrible, my godchild is still in tears she hates it so much, it looks real, but not really. She can't do anything with it. It is not REAL. The description needs to say, FOR SHOW ONLY. Very sad.
