3.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected but not necessarily wanted twist May 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Let me start by saying I really liked the first book. This one started great too. The plot was interesting, the characters well developed, and we learn new things about them. However, the twist at the end was dissapointing. If you have not read it, here is your SPOILER ALERT.

I was not crazy about Tane and Rurik being bisexual and involving Connie in it. It felt like it poluted Rurik's and Connie's relationship and like he always had the intention to pursue that. He even said: "there has never been the right partner". It made Tane's motives for binding Connie clearer too. I just felt like was used the entire time....

Which one will she choose: the man who has her heart or the man who has her soul?

Connie "Rabbit" Bences' vampire lover, Rurik, has always satisfied her with his heart, body, mind and blood. But lately, his blood no longer hits the spot and leaves her hunger untamed. Rurik takes her to Tane, the Nosferatu ruler of the vampire nation, who nearly cost her and Rurik their lives.

Suspecting that there is more to their connection, Lukard, the power hungry Nosferatu, kidnaps Tane and Connie. It is then discovered that Connie is blood bound to Tane, and not Rurik. To keep them out of Lukard's grasp, and giving Connie access to Tane's blood, it's decided that she and Rurik move into the Tane's compound. Tane finds pleasure in manipulating and toying with Connie. However, he has a secret agenda. He has bound Connie to him in order to keep Rurik close, much to her chagrin.

When young, female bodies turn up dead in the city, Connie finds herself torn between her allegiance to Rurik and his kind and her old boss, Colby, head of a group of mercenary vampire hunters. Even though she hates Tane, Connie is drawn to him. He keeps her safe, and she is connected to him in a way that she cannot connect to Rurik. Another attempt on Tane's and Connie's lives puts the compound in lockdown. Her old boss, Colby, is the main suspect. However, it is revealed that the traitor is much closer.

This book had it ALL!!! There was love, lust, intrigue, suspense, jealousy and betrayal. I was so engrossed in this story, that I read it in record time. I loved the dynamic between the three main characters. I could totally understand why Connie was drawn to Tane who is so fierce and masculine. The friction between these two was absolutely magnetic.

3.0 out of 5 stars Catch... March 29, 2013

Good book, minus the ending... definitely not my kind of thing. Book one was my favorite and I'm unsure if I'll continue on with the series. I should have stopped with the first book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprised ending!!! November 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As soon as I finsihed BAIT I had to start CATCH and read until the end. Loved the new situations Connie and Rurik have to face in this book. It was as exciting as the first book BAIT.

I only gave it four stars because towards the end I was not liking were things were going. I loved the hot sex (and how often) between Connie and Rurik. spoiler? I am not into "more than two" sex and the explicit description of it, so for me it was a very big, big let down.

If there is a third book, though, I will read it as soon as it comes out. I still love this vampire story and will not miss any!

3.0 out of 5 stars The ending blew it July 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this series until the end of this book. It was well written, suspenseful, and sexy. The tension between the three main characters was great, and I was looking forward to the ending. Unfortunately, the ending was a huge turn off for me. As much as I wanted to know what would happen in this book, I never would have read it had I known it was going to end with ***spoiler alert*** menage a tois. It was like the guys had been planning it all along and Connie just totally played right into their plan.

3.0 out of 5 stars I still finished it January 20, 2013
By yworks
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The first book was good with a slightly new concept to an old trend. There were several interesting things going on, like a serial killer, an assassination attempt and keeping vampire lover, however, the story started to remind me of another vampire series. I believe I would read the next book (if there is one) only if there were several things going on to draw my attention away from thinking, I have read the latest Anita Blake series?

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read...until the end June 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great vampire story and had a lot of suspenseful moments. However, the ending kind of ruined the whole experience. I will go back and read the first book in the series and will judge if I want to read anymore in this series. If this was the first book in the series, I would be done.
