Book Description

CBC Exposed is a book like no other. This book takes on the holy grail of the Canadian media landscape and lays bare the truth about CBC. Reckless reporting at the state broadcaster has ruined lives and cost taxpayers millions upon millions in settlement costs yet no one has ever been held to account. This book does what the consensus media cowards are afraid to do, tell the truth about CBC.

From reporting driven by vendettas to outright biases against conservatives, gun owners, Israel and any other group that doesn’t fit their vision of Canada, CBC Exposed is a call to action to rein in this broadcasting giant. Once you read this book you too will be convinced that the only way to tame the beast is to sell it.

"Brian and his colleague get it, these guys are smart, smart, smart." Glen Beck, GBTV

"The strongest argument yet for selling the state broadcaster. Brian Lilley remains one of the most determined critics the CBC has and this book lays it all on the line." Ezra Levant, Author, Sun News Network

"Brian Lilley is one of the finest and most important journalists and broadcasters in contemporary North America. Such a voice, in print and on television, is absolutely vital." - Michael Coren, Author, Sun News Network

5.0 out of 5 stars Shocking but Sadly True November 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a former National Reporter for CBC Television News, I can confirm Brian Lilley's book is right on the mark. We used to call the executive building on Jarvis St. 'the Kremlin' for a good reason; the place was full of leftists. Worst of all was the public affairs department which was completely out of control even 40 years ago. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the truth about this bloated, biased organization.

5.0 out of 5 stars CBC = Waste of Canadian Tax Dollars November 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was aware of some of this waste of tax dollars before I read the book. However Brian has covered other instances where not only large amounts of money have been wasted, but also how the actions of the CBC personnel have put individual Canadians through hell. This is not the mandate of the CBC. Brian is quite correct in saying the CBC hates Conservatives. I found this out when I used to read the CBC News Online. I no longer look at their partisan reporting.

All Canadian taxpayers should read this book with an open mind. The CBC should not get one cent from the taxpayers. It is time to sell the CBC.

5.0 out of 5 stars cbc exposed November 19, 2012
By Tootie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I found the book very interesting. I saw it advertised on Sun news and found it very educational. I watch Brian's show every chance I get as well as the rest of the sun news reporters. The most important thing for me is honest reporting. There's no sense blowing everything out of porportion just to make a point. I want good solid reporting as a result of good homework. I have friends I'm trying to get to watch Sun News and a lot of them compare Sun with Fox and the rest of the right wing stations. So far I like the way everyone at Sun is doing a good job, and that's the way I like it. Straight FACTS no Bull. Thanks Tootie. P.S. CBC is a joke and a waste of money.... MINE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canadians beware! December 1, 2012
By Wayne
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book provided an amazing insight into the powerful Canadian broadcaster - the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - the CBC. Wow! I had no idea that this media conglomerate was so secretive and undemocratic. Really scary stuff in this book that every Canadian who pays taxes must read. Some very disturbing stories about how the CBC can and will destroy lives just for their own sake. They will take anyone to court and ruin their lives because they are spending taxpayer money. A very strong argument is made here by Brian Lilley and Ezra Levant to have this Corporation privatized. I couldn't agree more. I know I will be writing to my MP to suggest this.

As stated, this is a highly recommended read for all Canadians who care about democracy and where their taxes go!

3.0 out of 5 stars An Excessively "Partisan" Take January 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When Lilley sticks to the facts about the CBC Mothership, there is more than ample ammunition to make the case that this is a financially-corrupt, hard-left elitist monolith that needs either massive restructuring or outright elimination. Problem is, he also wears his crusader badge TOO prominently on his chest, to the point that this book starts to feel more like an advertisement to join another of the many flourishing protest movements, than a balanced expose.

The 'holier than thou' attitude that pervades the CBC, to the point of un-apologetically slandering individuals and allowing the taxpayer to pick up enormous damage and cost awards, will appall most readers; as will the climate of secrecy that is allowed to pervade about operating costs, salaries and bonuses and a plethora of other questions that are considered 'open book' at most other public institutions.

Not to his credit, Lilley embarks on a number of speculative 'conspiracy' ruminations that are questionably documented and create the tone of an author with an ax to grind. But, all in all, if you're a fan of the CBC, you might be less of one after you read some of the misbehavior that is a matter of public record. And, if you're a taxpayer, as most of us are, you'll be anything from perplexed to outraged about the CBC's documented shenanigans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read it and weep October 28, 2012
By Stan
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A list of the sins of the CBC including how they buy the silence of almost all their critics in the media with YOUR tax dollars.
They are a biased pack of Marxists and liars who are a threat to Canada.
Seems extreme?
Read the book, you might be surprised.
This book covers many of their lies and biases, but there are plenty left uncovered.

A must read book, buy an extra copy and leave it in the doctors office or the lunchroom at work.

And oddly enough I couldn't find a review of this book on the CBC!

5.0 out of 5 stars CBC Exposed November 14, 2012
By PeterDN
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent book that reveals the corruption in the CBC. This book shows how the CBC has been manufacturing "evidence" against people and creating news documentaries that reveal the facts in such a way that twists the truth into a lie. When challenged by legal action, the CBC uses public funds to finance massive legal bills to attack people who are falsely accused by the CBC.
