Lovely antiqued copper look. These are heavy, don't be fooled. They are metal, but not solid. Large books need solid metal, ie heavy oversized atlas, etc. But for coffee-table sized to average books, these are perfect.

I purchased these bookends to support my heavy and tall cookbooks in the kitchen. I love the look of them. They serve their purpose. I wish they were heftier but they are what I expected. I didn't want bookends that would take up a lot of space on my counters. These fit the bill and do a fairly good job of keeping these cookbooks upright. Best I've found for my purposes. Attractive and useful.

I really like these bookends. I have them in my office at work. They pretty, and heavy enough to keep my books upright. Glad I bought them.

These don't hold up books at all. They are HOLLOW, even at the bottom!!! They aren't really very heavy, but the bigger problem is that the way the weight is distributed they aren't very stable. They slide around & tip over all the time. There is not even anywhere to mount grippy shelf liner to help them not slide around so easily because they are just the shell of a fleur de lis. If they were actually solid at the base they would probably work great, but they aren't so don't waste your money.

I have these on my bookshelf in my office at work, and they look great holding my antique books together. They are rather heavy, which is a good thing for bookends. They are a muted brassy forest green color. I recommend them!

I bought these bookends for my massive personal library to hold up the heaviest and most stubborn of books. They definitely do their job. They are heavy but not cumbersome. They are very pretty just to look at as well. In fact, I no longer need one for one of the shelves I originally bought them for, so one has now been placed on my mantle as a decor piece. These are functional but beautiful bookends.

Much better looking in person than I thought they would be - holds our cookbooks nicely and looks nice as well.

Little did I know when I bought these bookends on a whim to keep my leisure books separated from my college books and to keep them organized and from falling over, that I would love having had bought these. These are far higher quality than your public library bookends and look at lot better looking too, for any readers, I'd highly recommend!

I have used these with a number of book configurations (mainly grad school textbooks) and the bookends have consistently held things in place. They are not light & flemsy as I originally thought they were going to be, hence, I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and I quickly put them to work.
