It Really Is The CCTV Bible!
The most comprehensive and complete book on CCTV there is. Incorporating the most up to date digital information also gives it more relevance. Vlado explains all aspects of CCTV with a great balance of technical information, practical examples and illustrations. Highly reccommended to CCTV installers, integrators and consultants!

Provides useful info, but..
I thought this was the best book on this field until I got my hands on Herman Kruegle's CCTV Surveillance , Analog and Digital Video Practices and Technology, 2nd Edition which I would give 5 stars.

It was exactly what I was looking for. It explains perfectly all the components of a CCTV system with enough technical information. No need to be an engineer to understand it but it studies in depth each section. I always had different documents and books to seek information about a CCTV issue, now this book is the only thing I use.

I'm still reading but am very satisfied with this book. There's some info that's a little outdated, like the chapter on video tape recorders which I haven't used in years. But over all a complete source for the cctv installer or designer. You'll find yourself referring to it again and again.
