2.0 out of 5 stars Starting Out: The Scotch Game, October 13, 2007
This review is from: CD Starting Out: The Scotch Game (CD-ROM)
I picked up this book because I have had good luck in the past with the "Starting out" series. I was also looking to diversify my openings. Unfortunately this book doesn't really live up to expectations. No mention of the popular (at club level) Scotch Gambit. Way to much coverage on the Scotch four knights (weak scoring opening for white) 58 pages!

I would recommend "Starting Out: The Ruy Lopez" for anyone that is playing 1. e4.

there is good coverage on many of the variations but they lolly gag on the gambit lines and that is a bit suspect to me.
