This CD is good, with only a couple of really stand-out songs. In fact, I heard of this CD through singing "Enloqueceme" in my third-year Spanish class. The beats are catchy and fluid, and most Latin or Spanish music lovers will enjoy it.

Bubblegum that booms.,

Prefab they may be, but how many kiddie groups are still around 12 years after their formation in anything resembling their original lineup, let alone hitting their commercial peak? Yeah, the Italian producers and songwriters deserve a lot of credit, but so does OV7 for putting together the right management team, keeping its image cutting-edge, recording material that showcases its strengths, and adding a talented new member (Kalimba). In the wrong hands, bubblegum pop is prone to suffer from overly simplistic songwriting and drums-on-autopilot production. "CD00" avoids this trap, admirably offering rhythmic twists and turns, unexpected jazzy chord changes, a couple of sly Michael Jackson references, and of course the group's trademark cotton-candy harmonies. In addition to the hit singles "Enloqueceme," "Shabadabada," and "Mas Que Amor," other keepers include "Shake Shake" and "Atrevete," with only the airheaded "Jam" not doing justice to the group's emerging musical maturity.
