This is an amazing amp.

I am a mere hobbyist in guitar playing, but I showed this amp to a friend who works at a music store and is an accomplished player/teacher. When we finished going over all the features (which I will cover in a moment) he thought that I must have paid over $100 for it. When I told him that I had paid just over half that he was shocked. He says he is planing on buying one himself as his travel/practice amp.

This amp really has it all. Very clean, crisp sound when reverb is off. A warm fuzzy sound through reverb. This amp allows you to play with a three band equalizer (something no amp should really be without, but some in this price range are), dual channels (clean and lead), reverb is on a dial so you can set exactly how much or little you want, and it seems to be very well made.

This amp is plenty loud enough for any practice, including most jam sessions. I'd upgrade to something larger for a gig, but if you are playing solo in a very small place, this could even handle that. Some reviews that I read reported volume problems, it was too quiet or at lower volumes it was buzzy. I told my music teacher friend about this and he said to return for an exchange any amps with these problems, they are most likely due to a poor soldering job on a couple wires.

I can't think of any reason not to get this unit. It has everything you need and some things you don't, but you want anyway.

I am very happy with this purchase. It delivers everything promised at a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a practice amp or an amp for small performances, you can't do better at this price.

Let me state first that i am new to guitar playing and amplification. I have an Ovation Celebrity acoustic-electric guitar. Being a novice, I have to say that the amp sounds OK. However when i'm not playing the guitar i can hear music from radio station playing very faintly through the speaker.
