4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Case
This is a high quality case, by a well known manufacturer. Itcan hold 216 cd's w/out liners(or if you just jam them in tight), so it can hold all the cd's you'll need for a short or long trip. It is convenient at home too, with it's easy access sleeves. The only drawback is the price...If name brands are your thing and you want a large, convenient carrying case for...

I bought two of these CD cases quite some time ago, and I've been reasonably happy with them for their storage conveniance until I started noticing that the CDs I took out of the case had slight scratches on them. I looked into this and realized that over 70% of the CDs that I kept in this storage medium got scratched over time without me taking them out of their sleeves. I assume this might have happened when I was moving or when I was carrying the cases with me, but the case should have protected the CDs in these situations.

I analyzed the issue a bit more and I realized that the surface that they use in these cases that goes in direct contact with the CDs was what caused the scratches. To be sure I got a 120CD case with the RollingStone title on it (not sure of the brand name) that had softer surface in it, and after using it for a while I noticed no scratches. Unfortunately, I could not find the RollingStone case ever again, but I stopped using my CaseLogic cases ASAP after realizing what damage they did to my CDs.

Conclusion: Do not make the same mistake as me and do not buy this case if you care about your CDs!

5.0 out of 5 stars best cd holder on the market!, May 27, 2001

if you are looking for a great holder to carry your many many CDs in, consider this fine Case Logic Holder. I have checked out all of the different options for non-jewel case storage of my cds, and the best product i can find is the Case Logic Series of cd holders. I know they are a bit more expensive than other holders, but believe me, you get what you pay for. I have had one of these for years and it has never come apart or shown any signs of wear, the handle and zipper are very strong, and the binding through which the pages are held in is super sturdy. The newer black pages that Case Logic has been using for a while now do not scratch your CDs at all, this is great as cheaper cd holders have a tendency to scratch your CDs. A great buy if you are willing to spend a few more dollars for quality:)

5.0 out of 5 stars Scratches?, April 15, 2002

Excellent case for serious collectors as they say. I have several case logic books and all have held up wonderfully. As for the scratches these other people are talking about, I haven't noticed anything more than normal wear and tear. The idea is to dust off your cd before you put it in the sleeve, so you don't get any trapped in there. If you leave a cd out for a few days unprotected then put it right into the sleeve, you're [out of luck], but what do you expect? I store the cd's on one side and the booklet that comes with them on the other side. It adds a little rigidity to protect the cd even more.....good value overall

I bought this Nylon CD wallet after purchasing a (what appeared to be) leather one for my then girlfriend. The carry capacity was the same, they bold held up well under normal usage, but I found that the leather one looked better. I believe that one is no longer sold on Amazon.com but when it was the price was significantly greater than this. For the money, this is a good CD wallet. I am pleased with the purchase of mine and would buy another if/when I run out of room in the first. I should say that each "page" holds 4CDs per side, and the pages are not removable.
