My esthetician recommended me using Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum on my face along with the treatment I was undergoing. The Skinceuticals product costs more than three times as much as Cosmetic Skin Solutions C E Ferulic serum. I did a comparison of the ingredients, which were identical to the higher priced Skinceuticals. So I bought it, and am so glad. Most importantly, it is working just like the higher priced serum, even better. This serum goes on smoothly and it's like giving my thirsty face a drink. Suddenly my skin is soothed and smooth, and my skin is nicely prepped for make-up, although lately I find I don't need to wear make-up because my skin is looking so good without it. The Skinceuticals serum had a nasty smell, like cooked hot dogs, this has a faint oder, not hot dogs but just a faint smell, not so much that you are repulsed by it, and the smell evaporates almost immediately when you smooth it on your face. I use this serum after I wash and tone my face, and then I use sun-screen over it. People tell me my skin looks brighter and some have asked if I've had any "work done" because it's so smooth. Nope, this serum is my "secret".

I purchased this CE Ferulic serum by mistake, thinking I was getting a low price on Skinceuticals CE Ferulic serum, which I had purchased before and liked. When this came, I realized it wasn't the same. I almost sent it back but I decided I'd give it a try. I am SO HAPPY I did! It works just as well as the Skinceuticals serum PLUS it applies easier and smells better. I apply it at night and my face is velvety smooth in the morning. It evens my skin tone and softens my wrinkles. I'm very, very satisfied with this product and recommend it. This is a first-rate skin treatment for a very reasonable price.

This product is almost identical to skinceuticals ce ferulic. I found this more watery in consistency. I would be really interested in knowing what the PH of this product is ? The skinceuticals is formulated at PH 3. A vitamin c serum must be formulated at a PH lower than 3.5 or it simply sits ON the skin, and doesn't enter the skin cell which is where the healing and protection takes place.

It was my physician who first recommended the brand name C&E Ferulic serum to me, based on the studies she had seen of the benefits of this active ingredient on the skin. I used the skinceuticals brand, off and on, for a couple of years. I noticed great results -- when I could manage to use it every day and stick with it. The problem is, it's incredibly expensive and so I wouldn't use it regularly.

Now, I have discovered this brand, which seems to me to be identical to the skinceuticals in every way but cost. With this brand, I can use the C&E Ferulic every day, I can use it liberally, and I can use it on other areas besides my face. It works great on the hands and arms as well. My skin is more supple and smooth, it's more hydrated, and the pigmentation is more even -- and I'm not going broke in the process. Color me happy!

I've been eyeing Skinceutical's C+E Ferulic serum for months but as a full-time college student, their prices are pretty steep. So after browsing through the web, I came across CSS's similar version. I bought my first sample and have been using it for around 4-5 days.

I must say that it works! I've seen positive, visible results. My skin is (a bit) brighter than the usual and my sister commented that my face looks "fresher" nowadays. Another thing about this product is that it works well in combination with my other beauty products. So after I apply it in the mornings, I wait for 5-10 minutes for it to be absorbed then I apply my Oil of Olay daily moisturizer. It also blends well with my make-up products.

As for the company itself, CSS's online support provides a thorough and prompt customer service. I can attest to this because I've been asking their reps a lot of questions like how and where to store the product, how to apply it, etc. They have been very patient with me and as I said, I get a response within a day. Even when all I did was convey my enthusiasm for having found a more affordable version, they responded right away.

That being said, CSS's C+E Ferulic serum is a beauty secret that is worth talking about :-)

I've bought this before and I've just bought it again. While no serum can completely get rid of wrinkles or other issues, this serum *does* make my skin look more even and younger, make it feel wonderful, and *doesn't* make it break out at all. The latter is significant because I have a history of breaking out from pretty much everything I've put on my face (I'm in my late 40s and sometimes still got bad reactions from mainstream skin treatments). It's so pure, has everything good and nothing bad. I've come to depend on it and I hope they never stop making it!

This product is true to form. I am constantly in the sun and have sun damage and sun spots. After using it for a few weeks I already noticed an improvement in texture and appearance. I definately recommend this product! I have been so impressed with this product and is so affordable, I bought some for my mother and sister! They love it also.. I am satisfied with the results.

I've been a big fan of the CE Ferulic by Skin Ceuticals for a long time, but the cost! OUCH! This is the same product without the big cosmetic co. name at a much more reasonable price and works the same. This is a favorite!!

I had a facial at a spa which used this product. I loved the way it made my face glow and helped to reduce wrinkles around my eyes. The problem is the expense of the product. I now am using C+E Ferulic Antioxidant Serum from [...].which I found here. It is the SAME product used in the spas but at a more afortable cost. My order arrived in three days. I am very pleased with their service as well as the serum. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a more youthful face!

THIS COMPANY EITHER HAS QUALITY CONTROL PROBLEMS WITH THEIR VITAMIN C SERUM OR IS NOT SELLING WHAT THEY PROMISE.

Here's why: I used Whatman pH test paper to determine the Cosmetic Solutions' serum's pH level immediately after receiving it. Surprisingly, it tested at a shocking pH level of 0 which is way too acidic to put on anyone's skin....yet the company promises a pH level of 2.3 to 2.5 which would be appropriate and effective. (Rest assured, Whatman pH test paper is a very reliable, foolproof way to make a pH determination that chemists use in the lab.)

BE CONCERNED! The pH level of a Vitamin C serum is critical to determine if you are using a beneficial serum or not and any inquiries to Cosmetic Solutions through an email will confirm this. (You can do a Google search, as well; there are lots of great skin care websites to help you better understand what constitutes an effective Vitamin C serums for the skin.) Interestingly, if you send Cosmetic Solutions a friendly email to inquire about their product's pH level, they will tell you their product has a desirable pH level of 2.3 to 2.5 and why this is a critical range to be effective....yet it failed to pass their own perimeters of what they promised when I tested it.

In addition to this important concern, their customer service is horrible. For starters, you cannot return their product (which is included in their Amazon product description). Naively, I had hoped that they would rectify the situation with my serum after I shared my test results and concerns. After numerous emails with them over this pH issue, they did not offer to refund my money or replace it with a new bottle. Absolutely nothing; they just dropped correspondence with me after a few weeks. Now, I am out $40 and have a bottle of Vitamin C serum that I dare not put on my face because it is too acidic for human skin.

So what are the options if you take a pass on the Cosmetic Solutions' product? Either mix your own serum (there are plenty of websites that can walk you through the do-it-yourself process and save you money) or you can buy the more reliable but expensive Skinceuticals Vitamin C serum.
