I bought this exact unit without the cystal salt lamp four months ago for $700. I bought this exact unit without the cystal salt lamp four months ago for $700. Within a month and a half the timer started stopping on it's own, extending the foot baths anywhere from five to 15 min past the time it was set for. Then the unit refused to turn on. We figured out that was a faulty power cord. These units use standard computer cords like the ones you might find on the back of your printer. No reason why a factory new unit should have a faulty cord.

The vendor I bought it from gave me a second unit. It died even faster. Despite the fact we have never dropped it, it has a small piece loose rattling around inside. The last time I used it, it stopped midway through the cycle TWICE and gave its "I am done now" beep without pause until I turned the power off and rebooted it. Keep in mind also this second unit has only been run on a high quality surge protector.

This unit is also sold under the brand name IonicSpa. Same unit, same garbage. I am now researching to see if ANY manufacturer makes a real "workhorse" unit, because this brand most certainly has not proven to be anything but a waste of money. When it works, I am happy with the detox results, but it doesn't stay working long.
