5.0 out of 5 stars cat likes them, good for gingivitis
When I adopted my cat from my vet, she suffered from halitosis due to gingivitis. The vet had been administering a mint-flavored oral rinse, which my cat strongly disliked. Not wanting to continue the rinsing ritual, I decided to explore other options.

2.0 out of 5 stars My cats are picky
I don't know how well this product would work if my cats actually ate it. I have 5 cats. Two of them have refused to even lick the chew. Other two of them have licked the chew and eaten one chew but never ate another one or even licked another chew since then. Only one of my cats will eat the chew when I offer it, but a lot of times he just likes to play with it. It is...

I bought the CET chews based on good reviews. My cat enjoys them, and approaches me each morning for her CET chew. Her breath is no longer bad, and the vet says that the chews seem to be helping to reduce the effects of gingivitis.

I've been using the CET toothbrush and toothpaste for cats, and it's worked well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Our finicky girls like these, March 31, 2008

We are trying to avoid another sedated dental cleaning for our two cats, so we bought these with hopes our two felines would enjoy them and also keep their teeth nice and clean. To our delight, they both really like these snacks, and will even stand up on their hind legs to beg for them!

1.0 out of 5 stars The product is good, but stay away from the Supplier Entirely Pets, May 26, 2006

I bought this product maybe a year ago through Entirely Pet and received my order right away no problem. I have 2 cats and one will eat anything, the other is pickier but will eat them and they are more nutritious than the store bought treats for tartar control. I ordered from Entirely Pets again the beginning of April, paying extra for express shipping, when my product didn't come in the 3-4 days, I called them and they told me that it was on back order and asked if I would like to wait for both items to be shipped together (I also order the breathalyzer water additive). I told them to ship the water and that I really would have appreciated knowing that the item was on backorder. So again I waited, and again after the 3-4 days when the breathalyzer didn't come they said that they thought that the chews were coming but they didn't, so they were now going to send the water additive. I checked on the backorder a few more times, and finally on May 20th I called to see the status of the back order, it still had not come in, so I cancelled the order. They told me I would get a refund in 72 hours. I called again on May 24th to see why I hadn't received my refund and was told it was never processed (that person was not authorized) and it would now be processed and I would receive my refund in 72 hours. I still haven't received it, and given the holiday weekend, I don't expect it will happen it the 72 hours. I did not go through Amazon, I went directly through Entirely Pets, but just wanted to let everyone know that they do not have their act together at this time. Bad communication and people who say things that they can not deliver. The backorder problem is from CET, as I talked to another company that sells it and they can't get it either, but there is no excuse for the lack of communication. You can get this product cheaper from Vet-America.

My cat would have nothing to do with these. They are large. Each chew is about 1 1/2" long and 1/2" diameter, certainly bigger than anything my cat had ever encountered before. They are stiff on the outside and soft in the middle. I tried tearing them into smaller pieces. She still backed away from them like they smelled bad. I had to throw them away.

This is the company you want to buy from. Others have sold me expired C.E.T. Chews, but this company's inventory is up-to-date and fresh. Our cats notice the difference. Thanks again!

I got the chews for a very sick cat who has no teeth. She likes them. She seems to be able to chew them well enough to swallow them, and they do stay down (which a lot of other food items don't).

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money, September 12, 2009
This review is from: CET Chews for Cats 30ct Poultry (Misc.)
My cat wouldn't give these the time of day whether I left them whole (they are huge) or broke them into small pieces, even when he was really hungry and this is all I left in his dish overnight. Thank goodness he seems to like Hartz Crunch n Clean (also available on Amazon) because so far he won't let me brush his teeth.

2.0 out of 5 stars My cat just played with it, other than that was not interested., July 5, 2009

Buying things for cats is always dicey. Things that you just know they will love is ignored and other stuff you expect them to hate they just love. I guess that is part of the "fun" of living with a cat. :)

I bought these in hopes that "Millie" would take to them however she seems to feel they make a better toy to bat around than something you eat. They are about the thickness of a large pretzel and about and inch in length and feel like sawdust encased in tissue paper if that makes any sense.

While I'm sure some cats really like them I ended up throwing the entire bag out. Pretty expensive for something my cat had no real interest in.

Hope you have better luck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Initially my 4 cats didn't like them either, but now....., December 19, 2005

They get excited and eat the whole thing. At first they would not eat them or even play w/ them. I broke them in half and gave each cat a piece to try. Some of the "eggroll" wrapping was left behind, but they seemed to understand they were to chew it. Now I give them whole ones daily. At $125 to get a cat's teeth cleaned and one of my cats is soon turning 17, so he can't have anesthesia, this is definitely the less expensive route.
