Got a Complaining Neighbor?? This WORKS...BUT warning,

This review is from: CET Domain BarkStop Bark Control Collar
We got this collar as one of our coonhounds a Walker coonhound named "Ben", was an incessant & constant nightime barker and howler who barked at nothing at all. Ben's barking was getting so bad that he was losing his voice and that's not what you want in a hunting dog. It was to the point that our neighbors that live an 1/8th of a mile down the road (and we live in a rural country area) were complaining constantly that they couldn't sleep with their windows open. As soon as we put this collar on Ben he barked once and hasnt barked again while he's wearing this collar.
This collar works by making a sound that dogs can hear a "warning" and if the dog doesn't bark in 30 seconds from the time of the warning the collar resets itself. If the dog barks in those 30 seconds after the warning sound, the collar will use a slight "shock" to silence the dog. We as dog owners hated to resort to using a collar like this but, we wanted to keep the peace with our neighbors. Being our dog only barked one time since he's been wearing this collar he hasn't been getting the shock. We are very happy about that. Okay, also, I must readily admit, that I'm a frugal shopper most of the time. When I saw the price tag on this collar I did a double take. Most of the bark collars that I looked at here and other sources were at lowest price around $65. This collar may not be most sturdy looking, but bottom line is that it works and is supposed to be waterproof. The only thing I didn't like about this collar is that there's a red light on the box of the collar and when you turn on the collar, you'd expect it to light up. Our's doesn't, so I assume that it only comes on when the alarm sound or the shock is issued. The directions were not every specific about this at all. WARNING: A warning that I have for you if you buy this collar off of here- if it's something that you need right away, it SHIPS FROM China. I didn't notice that when I ordered and it took a bit longer than I had intially expected. So if you need it quickly to silence your howling neighbor, it will take a little longer than usual to receive it.

I was very pleased with this item! It is a safe way to discipline your dog not to bark excessively. I like that this product has the option to set the level of barking in which it beeps.

Let's get this in the open. I'm a bit of a masochist. And pretty impulsive when my patience runs out. That being said, let me tell you about the BarkStop Control Collar.
We have four dachshunds, and had finally trained the other three when we got the fourth. This one, Beazlebub, would not stop barking. She would bark to hear herself talk, as it were. After reaching the decision on a bark collar, we went shopping, and suffered sticker shock at the local prices here in Eastern Oregon. One session of Googling later, I found this collar. All the reviews I read were extremely positive, save for one who mentioned that the collar would come from Hong Kong. I figured for the price, I could wait for it. The collar arrived while I was out of town on business, but the wife could not wait. The results were no less than terrific. Dog didn't notice the new collar, no fidgeting, and a few moments returned to barking. The collar emits a beep at first to warn the dog (or, in this case, all who are watching that the fun was about to start), and after repeated barking shocked the dog. Wife ecstatically reported that the dog looked like the proverbial jumping bean as the dog sought the source of the shock. It didn't take long for the collar to achieve the desired effect-and, as a bonus, our dogs are truly pack animals, and one beep from the collar keeps them all in line, now. My house is soooo much more pleasant since the purchase of the collar. I highly recommend it if you suffer from loud, over active dogs. And the price is the icing on the cake. All in all, I'm very satisfied.
