5.0 out of 5 stars Bad Breath ... GONE!, April 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: CET Pet Toothpaste - Beef Flavor (Misc.)
I got this for my Yorkie since it seems like she always has bad breath. I tried brushing her teeth with just plain water but after her next meal, her breath gets bad once again. After I tried C.E.T. Tartar Control Enzymatic Toothpaste, Beef Flavor, I have to admit, I'm quite amazed! Bad breath gone! That fast! I noticed the difference after the first use!

Although it's still hard to make my Yorkie feel comfortable in brushing her teeth, I'm just happy that she now doesn't have bad breath! Whew! :)

This is the same toothpaste I get from my vet but at a much better price. C.E.T. Tarter Control Enzymatic Toothpaste removes tarter & plaque leaving your pet's teeth bright white.

5.0 out of 5 stars CET Beef toothpaste for Foxy., November 5, 2006
This review is from: CET Pet Toothpaste - Beef Flavor (Misc.)
My dog likes this toothpaste. I use beef and chicken flavors and they are very good. It is good that there is flavored toothpaste for dogs. This mskes it very easy to brush their teeth. CET seems to make the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, May 4, 2009
This review is from: CET Pet Toothpaste - Beef Flavor (Misc.)
I bought this as soon as I noticed my chihuahuas mouth smelt bad. I bought it and I noticed the difference right away.
His mouth stop smelling bad but his tarter mouth was a tad better.
Peanut, my chihuahua hates this product with a burning passion of a thousand suns and hides from me when he sees me with the bottle.
I like it and I got the beef one since they ran out of chicken.
My only problem with this product is finding a brush small enough for his tiny mouth. Baby brushes, my finger and those finger ones are WAY to big. X-x His mouth is as small as a AAA battery.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!, November 28, 2011

This toothpaste works really well for my dog (Beagle Mix, 20lbs.). She has a history of really bad plaque build up, so after her last tooth cleaning, we committed to brushing her teeth every night. We use this flavor, as well as the poultry flavor. She loves both flavors and now gets excited for her nightly tooth brushing. She actually sits relatively still and lets us brush her teeth -- I am positive it is because she likes the flavor of the toothpaste!

The only downside is that her breath gets a little stinky by the next morning/day. But, she is a dog...and her breath is MUCH BETTER overall than it used to be -- we used to pull away from her rapidly anytime she opened her mouth to yawn -- that's how bad it used to be. But since we've brushed her teeth regularly, it's no longer an issue!

Her teeth are really clean and the CET Toothpaste has been a big part of keeping them that way! It is also saving us a ton of money b/c we don't have to get her teeth cleaned every year by the vet.

You have to get this! My dog's teeth have very little plack buildup, her breath is great and she loves getting her teeth brushed. The flavor is good enough that she tries to chew the tooth brush!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, January 21, 2010

My Papillon doesn't really enjoy having his teeth brushed, but too bad! :D I am happy to brush his teeth with something he doesn't detest. He doesn't mind the flavor and actually licks it off the toothbrush. It's the process he dislikes, but well...... sometimes we have to do things we don't really enjoy right? And I'd rather him have nice white tartar free teeth. So... This is good stuff and stays on the brush as opposed to coming off as soon as you start brushing. It's a thick clear gel and it really gets on the teeth. Awesome! So two paws up for this product!

4.0 out of 5 stars dogs tolerate it but what's with the black goo at the top????, December 4, 2009
This review is from: CET Pet Toothpaste - Beef Flavor (Misc.)
It works great as long as it's used frequently. I'd love to know the secrets of how other dog owners get their dogs to "love" getting their teeth brushed. My 2 will just tolerate it since it's a bedtime routine for them.

I've now used several different brands but with this particular one, I noticed that the top where the cap is turns black. The toothpaste comes in a metal tube, not plastic like current human toothpaste. I've washed off the cap and the neck of the tube completely but a few days later, the black goo will return. Not sure what this is... maybe oxidation of spilled toothpaste?

Overall, it's fine but I have not noticed it doing a better job at keeping the breath fresher -- than any other pet toothpaste (including those sold at the big pet stores).

This brand is slightly more expensive than others, especially when purchased at the vet's office.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vet says it works the best., November 14, 2009

I have used this product for several years. The Vet says the enzyme content is key for tartar control. My dogs would eat the whole beef flavored tube if I let them. The toothpaste doesn't make it any easier to brush the dogs teeth but when I call them to brush their teeth they come running. Yum, Yum beef!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Dog Likes It!, October 19, 2009
This review is from: CET Pet Toothpaste - Beef Flavor (Misc.)
Most important, does it work? Yes, very well! I brush my dog's teeth everyday using an electric toothbrush and CET Beef flavor toothpaste. It helps keep them white and free from gum disease. She's used to having her teeth brushed and likes the flavor.

I received the order in a few days. Once again, Amazon did a superb job.
