I received this cable in 2 days. I know another reviewer said that the software included was no good, but I've had no problems with it. That being said, I only used the included drivers, not the "PC Sync" program (I use BitPim). The drivers worked like a charm with my new Chocolate (the VX8550), and I was creating my own ringtones within minutes of opening this package. Fantastic overall experience with this seller and this product.

This item claims to charge a VX 8700 over USB but does not. With or without drivers installed. Tested on a Dell laptop, PC tower and Apple MacBook to no avail. Did allow for data transfer though.

This is a much better deal than buying the whole retail pack with a bunch of crap nobody wants. Tested working with the new vx8550 LG Chocolate Version 3 firmware. Use BitPim and you're set. I however could not get BitPim to recognize my phone using vista 64 bit. Swapped over to my laptop running 32 bit windows XP and it worked like a charm

Cable is higher quality than many others of lesser price. However, I found the included driver for my LG VX8700 to be for GSM phone whereas my phone (like all Verizon phones!) is CDMA. Had to download a driver for the cable and it now works fine for both BitPim and V-Cast Music Manager. Ringtones pretty much useless as all are bell-type or electronic (synthezizer), none are of popular music, and there's only a few to begin with. Ringtones resident in my phone are better.

Nevertheless, it IS a high-quality cable and as long as you're willing to find a driver it's worth the price -- I'd give it 5 stars if the driver worked.

This cable was exactly as stated: a cable and a cable only. I have the LG Trax and this cable works perfectly with nothing but the default drivers included with Windows XP. Just set your phone to USB mass storage and the phone's memory stick works just like a jump drive!

They should really state "not compatible with windows vista" or sumthin. I bought this thing for my new chocolate phone expecting it to work with my computer (windows vista) and it doesn't even connect to it. My phone just says "connection failed" every time. It only charges it but I can't sync music or tranfer data with it. SO IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS VISTA STAY AWAY FROM THIS ITEM!

The connector on this cable is not even close to the connector for an AX390. If you order one of these, make sure you look very, very close at the picture, because if I did, I would've seen that it's only about 1/3 the size of the connector that fits my phone. I don't know how many other phone models that are listed here will also not work with this plug. Now what do we do about finding the right cable to fit my phone?

The cable works as advertised, it charged my new LG VX8550 with no problem, but the software is just awful. If you are looking for ringtones, look elsewhere. I would be embarassed to have these cheap, tinny tones on my phone.

This cable works well for data and is good if you don't want to charge your phone while you are streaming data. It helps prolong battery life if you are constantly plugging and unplugging the data cable. Other than that, there's not much else to say.

Cable is cable but the software is absolute garbage. i HIGHLY recommend staying away from this unless it is just the cable you want
