The book, intended for 6-9 years of age, is presented in a journal format with pages that mimic old parchment paper with tattered edges, hand written font, sketches and inserted color photograph illustrations by Adam Monblatt. The color illustrations were guided by Nicole to capture the true essence of how she saw the adventure unfold in her mind.

More About the Author
Charmed Adventures: Snipes are Real! is Nicole Longhini-McElroy first published book. Nicole grew up near the village of New Lothrop Michigan where she was encouraged to explore creative arts and love of nature. During her childhood she often wrote stories, plays and created art in multiple medias. One of her biggest challenges was academics and often had to learn her own way to creating a solution. This stuck with her during college where she tutored others who needed to find their own path to creating the right answer. Nicole has learned when you teach others to think creatively, solutions come easier and so does success. It has been this creative approach, which has allowed Nicole to transfer between multiple business disciplines successfully. In 2008 she decided to leave GM after 10+ years to pursue a career outside of automotive. Nicole now resides in Metro Detroit with her husband and three dogs. She believes everyday is a new adventure and that anyone can achieve his or her dreams with a creative mind and relentless spirit. Nicole hopes that Charmed Adventures encourages children & adults to make things real in their own way.

I throughly enjoyed the story and use of common folklore tales in a new setting. Our 10 year old cousin loved it. Worth a look.

A magical romp through a child's imagination! The story blends adventure, mystery, action, the yearnings of youth, memorable family experiences, and playful enthusiasm to engulf the reader in an fantasy world of possibilites. A great read that would be a charming animated experience. Traveling with a snipe can be as much fun as wearing a chicken hat!
