Customer Reviews

Cats love them.

The catnip is merely sprinkled in the bag with them, not inside the puff balls.

It's a lot of fun to watch the cats chase and carry these around.

This review applies ONLY to puffs on Amazon sold under the CHASE'M brand!

I had purchased these puffs over a year ago. They were branded as Whisker City and sold through Petsmart.

My cat was indifferent to these for a few days, but considering I have box with 500 pounds of rejected toys that cost me well over $14,000,000.00, I did not worry about it so much. I picked up what I though were all the puffs I had tried to entice her with, I placed them into the abyss of the other worthless toys. I assumed they would never be seen again.

Flash forward a week. I went to bed one night and as I placed my hand under the pillow (part of my normal sleeping position for 52 years) I felt something soft and pulled it out to discover it was a puff. I tipped my head back to ask her how it got there. She is easy to find at night. Her torso is on the top part of my pillow and her butt is directly propped against the top of my skull. She refuses to use her tail as a barrier at this contact point. But lets not get sidetracked from this product review with a dicussion regarding her 12 year refusal to adopt basic manners, or talk about her life long refusal to exhibit any concern or consideration about MY hygiene preferences. Sure, she spends the entire 4 hours a day she is not sleeping incessantly licking every square inch of her body. When she finishes licking herself, she spends a couple of minutes on a seemed barbaric manicure where she looks like she is actually trying to pull her back nails directly out of the pads. It is frightening and disturbing to watch.

My cat was abandoned as a sickly three week old litter runt by her feral mother so I needed to find toys little and light enough for her and I found Whisker City's Puffs fit the requirement. I'm happy to said after a year of weekly vet visits and a lot of TLC, my kitten is now a very healthy 15 lb. five year old.

The old ones were getting nasty and flat and I have been wanting to replace the old original Puff Balls, but I now live in another state and haven't been able to find them again, so when I saw these I got them. Well she took these ones and added them to her stash (she refuses to share her Puff Balls and hides them from the other cats). I won't be able to tell if they withstand the wear and tear of daily play like her other ones, but these are a hit with her.

These little cat nip balls were great initially when they were covered in catnip. However, the balls were merely rolled in catnip - there is no catnip inside. Once the catnip has been consumed/fallen off, it is necessary to roll the balls in catnip once more. You can get small buckets/bags of catnip on Amazon and also at pet stores and for fairly cheap at Big Lots. (If you want some toys that have catnip sewn inside, try Yeowww! 100% Organic Catnip Toy, Yellow Banana 3 Pack. The catnip bananas are a big hit in my house.) The puff balls are a good size. I don't worry much about my cat accidentally swallowing one.

Made in the USA.

OK, first, like others have said, the catnip is only sprinkled over the balls, and it's not good catnip, it's old and stale. Second, and more important, is the fact that these things are only 1 1/4" in diameter, and very soft. The first thing my cats did with them is attempt to eat them. I had to take them away for fear one of them would choke on it. Also, the "fur" on the balls pulls out very easily, again making me fear choking. To keep it short, I wasted my money on these things. I strongly suggest not wasting yours...

Every so often, after one of these balls has gotten lost for a few days, my cat will come to me and meow loudly until I figure out she wants another one of these balls. Thank god they come in packages of 30! She will bring them to me to throw them and play fetch like a dog. She'll chase them all over the house and mew with pleasure, carry them around and sleep with them. In fact, as I was writing this, she dropped a soaking wet fluff ball that had dropped into her water bowl, in my lap! Her next favorite are those little wool balls around this same size. But these little catnip fluffs are stellar. Whoever thought them up should win an award. My cat is only 9 months old, so maybe an older cat would not be so obsessed with these balls.

My cat wasn't crazy for these, even with the added cat nip. The few she has played with have held up well so I'm still giving a good review. Nothing wrong with the product, just not my cat's taste. :)

We've order these twice. The cats love them and it's great to have 30, as they inevitably end up under large pieces of furniture. HOWEVER, it seems as though their construction has changed since our first order, as the ones we just got fall apart very easily. In other words, they shred, tufts come off, and they no longer resemble a circular shape once played with, even briefly. But mostly we fear for our cats' safety as far as a choking or swallowing hazard once the smaller pieces comes off. Have you changed the method of how they're made recently? (The colors also seemed very different from the first batch we ordered). It'd be great if you could make them a little sturdier so they don't disintegrate so quickly, as otherwise they're a great deal. (The catnip is a great touch btw).
