Not everyone needs a commercial cheese cutter, but if you do, this is the one to get. The fact that it doesn't use a full blade is not only safer, but it's less prone to gumming up with softer (or processed) cheese. And of course, I'd always prefer quality stainless steel to less durable metals or worse, plastic. This cheese slicer is a solid piece of equipment.
