This isn't exactly what I'd call a toy, it's not exactly something you'd sit down and play with like blocks or a doll. However (and this is a HUGE however), I've used these feathers two years in a row with my preschoolers at Story Time where I work and they LOVE them. What I did was draw a turkey, copy the turkey onto brown craft paper and print off copies for the children.

Then I gave the children a small baggie of feathers, a plate of glue and a clean Popsicle stick and wow, off they went! They had feathers all over their turkeys and it was so great to see them enjoying themselves. The mothers and grandmothers who were in attendance loved the feathers because of their beautiful fall colors.

These feathers were appropriate for my 3-5 year olds; for the younger siblings who attended, I purchased big big feathers from another place...just for safety's sake.

Next year, I'm definitely coming back to order more of these, though! They make wonderful turkeys!
